Vacancy – SPLAT In-Field Application Representative

River Bioscience (Pty) Ltd has an opportunity for In-Field Application Representative to join our team for a fixed term period of 6 months. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate stock control, application quality, equipment management, and reporting within our Product Application operations. This fixed term position is well suited for an individual that is hands-on, organized, mechanically minded, and comfortable working in field operations. This role includes working away from home for extended periods and requires extensive travelling.

Responsibilities:

Depot Control
  • Manage stock collection and distribution.
  • Conduct monthly stock takes.
  • Complete and maintain stock collection records using MS Forms.
Daily Stock Reconciliation
  • Record start-of-day stock.
  • Conduct calibration checks on application equipment.
  • Monitor and record hectares applied.
  • Record closing stock.
  • Investigate and report stock variances and discrepancies.
Monthly Reconciliation
  • Verify stock remaining in both depots and field operations.
  • Complete waste reconciliations by area.
  • Ensure accuracy of stock and usage reporting.
Quality Control
  • Monitor and inspect product applications.
  • Assess condition and performance of equipment.
  • Identify and report quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
Administration and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with operational teams.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted on time.
Mechanical Support (Beneficial)
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs on application equipment.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in the field.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks and support technical teams where required.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills (Eng and Afr).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in field-based environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Comfortable working with digital forms and reporting systems.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and practical hands-on ability.
  • Understanding of stock control and reconciliation processes.
