Note from the MD
The 2018/19 season is well underway for the RBX group and it has been a fantastic start on many fronts. The SIT facility in Citrusdal continues to make record production figures and the first application of SPLAT FCM, on twice as many hectares as last year, has been successfully completed.
RB also has well-stocked depots around the country with initial orders pointing to a very successful season ahead. This along with the introduction of our KAMs, as per the accompanying article, means that we are more visible in the market this season than we have been for a long time.
Although a very busy time for us all I trust everyone will have a safe and enjoyable festive season.
RBX Sales and Marketing Team
Johan Vorster (Middle) joined our team as the National Sales and Marketing Manager for the group in August this year. Subsequently two new Key Account Manager appointments have been made, Danie Janse van Vuuren (Left) in the Northern Region, and Johann Laubscher (Right) in the Western and Northern Cape Province.
Johan Vorster has a lot of sales and technical experience and skill, while Danie has a strong technical background, and Johann Laubscher has a great deal of sales experience. The focus is now to develop the individuals into each role, while playing off each person’s particular strengths, and at the same time adding other soft and hard skills to the team over time.
The position for the Key Account Manager in the Eastern Cape province remains empty and, as per the 5-year plan, is not intended to be filled until the year 2019/20. Johan Vorster will fulfil this role, up until a suitable candidate can be found, when the time is right.
The key role of this team is to support our distribution channel in the field to ensure our products are understood and readily available.
