<p>Virus-based Biopesticide Proving Effective Biological Control of Codling Moth in Pome Fruit Orchards</p>

<p>Codling moth (<em>Cydia pomonella</em>)</p>
<h6>Description:</h6>
<p>River Bioscience has developed Codlgran<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />, an insect pathogenic virus formulation designed to target codling moth larvae before they damage the fruit. When applied, Codlgran<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> coats the surface of the fruit, ensuring that newly hatched CM larvae are exposed to the virus. As the larvae attempt to penetrate the fruit, they ingest the virus particles and are effectively killed, preventing infestation and protecting the crop.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Apply only 10g per tree on every 2nd tree (approx. 40-60cm from the base) or apply a minimum of 2.5kg to a maximum of 3kg per hectare.</span></p>

<p>SPLAT (Specialised Pheromone &amp; Lure Application Technology) is an amorphous polymer matrix for the sustained passive release of insect pheromones. SPLAT FCM provides control of the false codling moth by disrupting mating behaviour.</p>

<p>SPLAT (Specialised Pheromone &amp; Lure Application Technology) is an amorphous polymer matrix containing insect pheromones.<br />
CONTAINS: 15g Dodecenyl Acetate E8 15g Dodecenyl Acetate Z8/kg 3%</p>
<h6>Dosage:</h6>
<p>Apply 1,000g of SPLAT FCM per hectare. 1,000g should be divided into a minimum of 500 point sources per hectare. Each point should be supplied in the top third of the canopy using a calibrated caulking gun. Reapplication should take place in 10 to 12 weeks.</p>
