Product FAQ's

Product FAQ's

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INVADER-B-LOK AND MAT BLOCKS?

There is no difference. MAT means male annihilation technique, which is the principle upon which this product is based. It can also be referred to as ME blocks.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INVADER-B-LOK AND INVADER LURE?

Invader Lure only serves as an attractant in the Lynfield trap and this monitoring system uses dichlorvos tablets to kill the attracted pest. Invader-b-lok is a pest control product and does not form part of a monitoring system. It contains malathion, which kills the target organism on contact.

CAN INVADER-B-LOK BE USED WITH A PROTEIN BAITING STRATEGY SUCH AS M3S AND/OR GF120 FOR CONTROL OF BACTROCERA INVADENS?

Yes, it is ideal to use it with a protein baiting strategy to control Bactrocera invadens.

HOW OFTEN DOES INVADER LURE AND INVADER-B-LOK NEED TO BE REPLACED?

Every 6 weeks.

WHERE IN THE CANOPY MUST INVADER LURE AND INVADER-B-LOK BE PLACED?

On the shady side of the tree, slightly inside the canopy and at least 1.5m high.
